Assistive Technology Specialist

Amanda LaRose has been with the Neil Squire Society since 2023 and is passionate about supporting individuals with disabilities through practical and innovative assistive technology solutions. She holds a Bachelor of Health Studies from the University of Regina, an Assistive Technology Applications Certificate Program (ATACP) from California State University, Northridge, and a Certificate in Ergonomics from the University of Fredericton.

As an Assistive Technology Specialist, Amanda works collaboratively with clients to identify barriers and explore individualized accommodations and technologies that promote greater independence, accessibility, and participation in work and education. She is particularly passionate about working with students and supporting their transition from high school into post-secondary education, employment, and greater independence.

Amanda takes a client-centred and practical approach to finding solutions, recognizing that every individual has unique needs and goals. She enjoys helping clients discover tools and strategies that make everyday tasks, education, and employment more accessible and achievable.
