Assistive Technology Specialist and Digital Literacy Coordinator
Louise Poirier is a dedicated professional with a diverse background in technology and education. She studied professional photography for two years and has also taken courses in accounting and Excel. In 2014, Louise worked as a technology teacher at the public library, where she discovered her passion for teaching through technology.
Louise joined the Neil Squire Society team in November 2017 as a digital literacy trainer. In 2018, she expanded her clientele to include assistive technology (AT) users, and in 2019, she began working with EECD clients. Louise has always been a fast learner, constantly intrigued by the possibilities that new technology offers.
In the Fall of 2020, she received the Assistive Technology Applications Certificate from the Center on Disabilities at CSUN. The following summer, she obtained her Yellow Belt certification. In February 2022, Louise became the Digital Literacy Coordinator for the Atlantic region. Most recently, in March 2025, she earned the Non-Profit Management Certificate, further enhancing her expertise and commitment to her field.
