Mitra is currently looking for work, and she has hearing loss. Her WorkBC Centre referred her to WorkBC Assistive Technology Services for help funding the hearing aids she needs for the job search process and in her future employment. She applied and was quickly approved.

“The Assistive Technology Services program helped me by providing funding for a hearing aid. This accommodation has improved my ability to communicate effectively,” she shares.

“This support greatly assists me in future job searches and employment opportunities by ensuring I can communicate effectively in any work environment.”

Mitra says she recommends WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others in need.

“The accommodation provided by the Assistive Technology Services program has equipped me with the necessary tools to effectively communicate and participate in various settings. This support helped me [in] getting ready to return to the workforce,” she explains.
