“It Has Built My Confidence,” New Hearing Aids Help Jody in the Job Search
Jody is looking for work. She has hearing loss. “Poor hearing makes me feel less confident. Having to ask people to repeat themselves is not a good feeling and does not give a potential employer confidence either,” she shares.
Through WorkBC Assistive Technology Services, Jody received funding for the hearing aids she needs for employment.
“It has built my confidence, and reduced my worry about how I’m going to pay for it,” she says.
Jody particularly appreciates the service she received from WorkBC Assistive Technology Services staff.
“[They] went above and beyond,” she explains. “100% I would recommend [WorkBC Assistive Technology Services]. I already have as a matter of fact.”
WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
