Louise’s New Hearing Aids Make a World of Difference at Work

Louise works part-time as a manager of an employment services provider, leading a team of 10 staff in in delivering services that support people in becoming employment ready and finding sustainable employment.

“Over the past few years, I have experienced loss of hearing to the point where it was impacting my ability to carry out my job effectively,” she says.

“I didn’t always catch everything someone said, especially in group situations or when talking on the phone, leading me to having to ask people to repeat themselves or making a best guess at what they said and hoping I was right!”

Through her workplace, she learned about WorkBC Assistive Technology Services. She applied, and received funding for a much needed pair of hearing aids.

Louise says she “absolutely” recommends WorkBC Assistive Technology Services to others in need, noting that her new hearing aids have made a big difference in her ability to do her tasks at work.

WorkBC Assistive Technology Services is operated by Neil Squire. Assistive Technology Services are available to individuals who have a work-related barrier due to a disability or a functional limitation. This may include barriers related to traveling to and from the workplace.
